The console is one of the most important features in CS. It allows you to customize the game down to the smallest detail. As in previous versions, in CS 2 it is once again available to all users with certain settings. For this purpose, we have prepared a guide on how to enable the console in Counter-Strike 2.
How to enable the console in Counter-Strike 2
You can enable the console in CS 2 using the settings. Go to the “Game” tab in Counter-Strike 2 and find there the line “Enable Developer Console”. You need to set this parameter to “Yes”.
After these settings, the console in Counter-Strike 2 can be launched via the tilde button “~” or “`” in the layout. If you want, you can change it in the CS 2 settings. To do this, go to the “Keyboard and Mouse” section of the settings, and then find the “Console” parameter and set the necessary key.
Console bug in CS 2
If even after installing all the settings you do not have the console turned on, then you have encountered a known bug in Counter-Strike 2. The console in CS 2 can randomly stop appearing in the beta version of the game.
To fix it, just change the default console enable key in CS 2 settings and try opening it again. You can even set it to “~” again.
