An Easter egg dedicated to the original DOOM has been discovered on the Thera map, which was added to the Counter-Strike 2 map pool in June. The reference was spotted by a user with the nickname SlotsKilledMyLife, who shared the find on Reddit.

The Easter egg is located at the CT spawn. To find it, players need to approach a phone booth where the gameplay of DOOM is displayed. The screen thanks players for playing and reminds them to always remember their worth. DOOM has previously been run on various devices, from a refrigerator to a pregnancy test and even a rotary phone.

Previously, a major update for CS2 introduced new maps including Thera, Mills, Memento, Assembly, and Pool Day. The game also updated the MVP panel and graphics settings, allowing users to set a maximum frame rate.
