Valve’s anti-cheat system in Counter-Strike 2 is “eating up” frames per second (FPS) for gamers. This conclusion was reached by a user named rattecs, who compared FPS metrics with VAC enabled and disabled. The enthusiast published a video on Reddit showcasing his findings.
To disable VAC, players need to enter the command -insecure
in the launch options of the shooter. However, with this command, gamers will not be able to access official servers. Additionally, the issue of FPS drops does not affect all players; some gamers have reported no noticeable difference in performance.
Earlier, a patch in CS2 tightened rules for players with VAC bans. Steam accounts that have been blocked can no longer play on secure game servers in Counter-Strike.

29 August 2024VAC impacting FPS is a new one for me. I tried the -insecure command, but I really miss the official servers. Wondering if Valve will address this issue soon. 🤔
